How to get to there?

Get to Porto, Portugal

You can fly to either Lisbon or Porto, the two biggest airports in Portugal. Porto is the closest airport. If you fly to Lisbon you can then take the train to Porto (Alfa Pendular).

Airport in Lisbon - Estação do Oriente (train station)

Metro - From Lisbon airport take the metro to Oriente (only 3 stops). Tickets are sold at vending machines. Once at Oriente follow signs to "Comboios" (trains) and after a few minutes and a couple flights of stairs up you will be at Estação do Oriente, the train station.

Taxi - The taxi ride is about 10 minutes and it shouldn't cost more than €10.

Lisbon - Porto

Train tickets can be bought online, from two weeks before, at cp.pt or just before you board at the counter in the train station. Alfa Pendular is the fastest train making the connection Lisbon-Porto, taking about 2h30 and it goes several times a day. You will get to Porto - Campanhã (train station).

Estação do Oriente

Get to Peso da Régua

Train - Trains to Régua depart from both train stations in Porto: São Bento or Campanhã. Travel time is about 2h and there are several trains a day.

Cruise - The nicest and prettiest way to get to Régua is traveling by boat in the Douro river. The landscape is breath taking and there are several cruise packages to choose. Some include the boat ride, with breakfast and lunch on board, a night in a hotel in Régua and the train ride back to Porto. More information can be found here. The packages are flexible and adaptable (for instance if you want to stay more than one night in Régua, just contact the company). If you choose this option we advise you to not do it the same day as the party.

Car
- There is a road along the Douro river that was voted the prettiest car ride in the world. If you don't want to miss it, rent a car and drive your way there.
